Apple is set to ditch the cheaper flash storage components it uses in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, after a number of users complained of their devices crashing and becoming stuck in a so–called boot loop.
According to Business Korea, Apple is binning the cheaper triple-cell NAND flash units in its 64GB and 128GB iPhones for multiple cell NAND flash, which is found in models with smaller capacity.
The website also adds weight to reports that Apple will soon release iOS 8.1.1 to fix issues for those who’ve already bought more capacious iPhones and are still struggling with issues related to storage.
Stories emerged last week of users’ iPhones crashing at regular intervals, of apps failing to open and boot loops, which saw phones repeatedly turn themselves on and off. Users also reported their iPhones flashing up blue or red screens.
Anecdotally, uSwitch has also experienced this issue on a 16GB iPhone 6, which Apple replaced citing a catastrophic hardware error. Staff at its London Regent Street store confirmed they had seen the problem on a number of occasions.
Officially, Apple has yet to acknowledge this or any of the other errors thrown up since the release of iOS 8.0.2, some of which have left new iPhones unusable.

But what exactly are in store for Apple fans remain under wraps as Apple Insiderreported that Black Friday this year foriPhone and iPad buyers will be slightly different from the previous years.
Limited early openings
For one, not all Apple Stores in the United States will take part in the Black Friday shopping frenzy. While many stores will let in customers by 8AM in the last Friday of November 2014 there will be some that will open their doors like it is an ordinary day.
According to Apple Insider, most Apple Stores' start of operation for Black Friday this year will be two hours later compared to 2013. The earliest that Apple Stores started selling during the same occasion was in 20111 when most stores started attending to customers between 12 midnight and 4AM.
Apple fans cannot expect the same this 2014, no thanks to the sales performance posted in the same period last year.
"Apple is not pushing for early-bird customers this year, citing sales numbers from 2013," Apple Insider said on its report.
Uncertain promo deals
Like in previous Black Fridays, Apple is not revealing its offerings early though Apple Insider is saying that the deals will likely be a repeat of last year. For instance, the publication noted that iPhone and iPad buyers in the U.S. and Australia were given gift cards.
While there is a chance that discounts on hardware products would be dangled, these deals will likely involve old iPhone, iPad, iPod, MacBook and Mac models.
Options for killer Apple discounts
Still, Black Friday savings on Apple devices can be realised via the traditional channels, according to Business Insider. The tech site nominated the likes of Walmart, Best Buy, Target and Sam's Club as the more reliable sources of killer dealers, especially for those planning to grab the iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2 at lower price tags.
True enough, Sam's Club has already announced its juicy iPhone 6 deal for Black Friday, which will allow buyers to take home the handset for as low as $99 beginning on November 15.
Other players are expected to join in, including online retail giant Amazon, in packaging the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus as tempting holiday buys, starting this Black Friday and going forward to the 2014 Christmas season.

Android 5.0 Lollipop

When we reviewed Motorola’s second-generation Moto X back in September, we called it the best Android phone in the world. Of course, a lot has changed since then. Bigger phones have been released. Faster phones have been released. More powerful phones have been released. In fact, Motorola itself launched a smartphone last week that fits all three of those criteria. What hasn’t been released, however, is a better smartphone. The Moto X offers a size, shape, display, interface, price and user experience that are ideal for the widest range of smartphone users looking for a high-end phone. And soon, it will also offer Android 5.0.
Motorola promised a speedy update to Lollipop for its latest phones and now, a new leak reveals Google’s new Android 5.0 Lollipop software running on the second-generation Moto X.
How close is Motorola to releasing its Android 5.0 update for the new Moto X? From the looks of things, pretty close.
Android fan blog Phandroid has managed to obtain screenshots from an unnamed source that show Lollipop running on a 2014 Moto X. Motorola’s version of Android is pretty close to stock so we shouldn’t expect any radical changes, but we can already catch some new elements such as the tweaked camera interface and drop-down toggles.
A few of the leaked images follow below and the rest can be seen by following the link down in our source section.

Some Distinctions Between Android And J2ME

A certain set of several software products and specifications is known as Java. Developed by the Sun Microsystems (now a part of Oracle Corporation), Java provides a system application development software that can be deployed over various cross platform computing environment. The software product is utilized on a number of computing platforms from mobiles to embedded devices, to the enterprise servers and supercomputers. The Java applets are used to provide security when browsing the internet.
Writing of the language produces code as Java bytecode. Though there are compilers for languages like JavaScript, Python, Ruby and Ada, the new language is designed to run locally on the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) named Groovy, Clojure, and Scala. The syntax borrows heavily from C++ and C. With a simple memory model, all objects are heaped and the variable object types are referred. The memory management is processed by JVM's automated garbage collection.
The language of Java has undergone many changes since the launch of Java Development Kit 1.0 in January 23, 1996. After the J2SE 1.4, the Java Community Process (JVM) primarily governed this language.
The Java Platform, Micro Edition
The Java ME language is a platform devised for embedded systems, like devices such as a mobile phone to industrial objects to set top boxes. Designed by the Sun Microsystems, the platform was the replacement of Personal Java, a similar technology. Developed under the JCR as the JSR 68, as per December 22, 2006 the J2ME is licensed under the GNU General Public License.
Distinction between J2ME and Android
Both Android and J2ME are used to create mobile applications. The following are some of the key differences between the J2ME Applications and Android Software Applications:
The Android mobile devices come with more functionality than J2ME. Equipped with camera and GPS, the Android can be configured to incarcerate data using customized code of third parties. This enables integration of novel data. J2ME can perform similar multimedia playback and GPS collection, but it makes the phone more expensive. GPS and J2ME need a S60 operating system which is more complex.
The Android mobiles are built integrating user interface allowing easier working interface and enabling easier navigation. Much more intuitive than J2ME, the problem lies in mistaken entries or accidental exits from the application. On the other hand, J2ME interface is limited but streamlined and can take over entire functionality of the device.
The display screen of the Android is much bigger for easy accessing. The J2ME apps are optimized for better visibility albeit in a much smaller screen. This makes sharing of videos and images difficult. However, in Android, the viewing angles can be resistive.
Android with low-technical capacities have been using ODK in the past but many components were difficult to adopt. The widgets were more visible and easier to use. J2ME supports "sense" mode. This is designed for users with low technical capacity. Familiar with those who use the S40 Smartphone are often frustrated with the inefficiency of sense interface.
