iphone 6

With Best Buy reportedly offering amazing deals for old Apple models like the iPhone 5s, 5c and iPad Mini, many are taking it as a good hint that the iPhone 6 will soon be out for release.
Reports from other credible websites like CNET state that the iPhone 5s will have a 50% off discount on all Best Buy branches. This means that the most basic 5s model with 16GB internal memory can only be purchased at $150 while the colorful iPhone 5c can be as cheap as $50 during the special offer. However, for those who need to avail of this promo, all must be quick since it will only be up to February 22.
All these clearing of old inventories could only mean that Apple is certainly preparing some huge space for the iPhone 6 to claim, IBT wrote. There are even some analysts who believe that the next flagship phone of Apple can come around early June or July.
Another sign that the iPhone 6 release date is set to happen soon is the high number of concept designs and photo leaks emerging online. Even the famous Aussie blogger Sonny Dickson recently published speculated images of the iPhone 6. He added that the newest Apple smartphone will be thinner yet have a bigger screen display. For a disclaimer, he mentioned that he is not completely sure whether it is "the real back housing."
On the other hand, the latest concept photos for the iPhone 6 were made by Jermaine Smit. His iPhone 6 design showed a metal case with thin bezels. He revamped the lightning port making it way smaller. Other iPhone 6 concept designs were that of Ran Avni and Simone Evangelista and that of Shaik Imaduddin.
iPhone 6 release date rumors include some claiming that it will be in June during the Worldwide Developers' Conference while others think it will be by September.

Micromax seems all set to launch a mid-range dustproof and waterproof Android smartphone, called the Micromax Splash, if reports are to be believed.
The rumoured Micromax Splash was leaked in a Twitter post from @MMXNewscaster, which states "Micromax Splash (unconfirmed) First IP67 certified Waterproof (1m for 30 mins) and Dust proof phone."
The alleged Micromax Splash smartphone is not yet confirmed officially by Micromax but is soon assumed to hit the shelves as it is said to have already passed the IP67 certification for dust and water resistance.
Not much is known about the rumoured Micromax Splash's specifications, but we assume the black-coloured handset to pack in some mid-range specifications. The image posted on Twitter also reveal the handset to feature a 5-megapixel rear camera with flash support. Since there is no concrete word from Micromax, one would have to wait till the smartphone gets launched officially.
Micromax had released a waterproof phone before, namely the Micromax X205, which is dual-SIMwater resistant feature phone.
Earlier on Monday, we reported that the Micromax Canvas Duet 2 has been listed at a price of Rs. 15,790 with immediate availability at an online retailer. For now, the phone has not been officially announced by Micromax.
The Micromax Canvas Duet 2 (EG111), according to the online retail listing, is a dual-SIM (GSM+CDMA) smartphone that runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The smartphone features a 5.3-inch HD display with a 720x1280 pixels resolution. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor on the Qualcomm A5 MSM8625Q chipset, coupled with 1GB of RAM. The Micromax Canvas Duet 2 sports a 8-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and also includes a front-facing camera, details of which is unknown.
The Canvas Duet 2 comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded up to 32GB with the help of a microSD card. It packs a 2300mAh battery, which according to the listing, is rated to deliver up to 7 hours of talktime (2G) and 150 hours (2G) of standby time.

iPhone 6 will be Better than Samsung Galaxy S5, Apple's iPhone 6 Sapphire Display will be the Best Screen Technology

Apple wants its iPhone 6 better than ever. According to recent reports, the company has been pushing to make its sapphire production operational and running in time for the release of its next flagship phone. Apple has started production for around 100-200 million units of phones. As the smartphone competition stiffens and the Samsung Galaxy S5 release is just around the corner, the market is curious whether Apple can compete with Samsung - the sapphire technology may just be trick to get ahead.

Apple has started including sapphire technology into its devices but not as full scale as a sapphire screen. The camera of the iPhone 5s features a sapphire glass protection.  Likewise, the new home button/fingerprint scanner on the iPhone 5s sports sapphire glass. Throughout the years, sapphire glass only graced the front cover of high-end wristwatches. With the hype over the technology, is it really worth the investment for Apple? Has Corning's Gorilla Glass finally found a rival?
Sapphire Glass
Although it is called a glass, the sapphire glass is not entirely a glass. It refers to a single crystal made of transparent sapphire. Sapphire is manufactured synthetically. The manufacturing process is similar to the production of single crystals of silicon for semiconductors.
The process involves dipping a little piece of sapphire or seed crystal in molten alumina (Al2O3). After dipping, the seed crystal is drawn upwards. This creates extremely long carrot-shaped crystals known as boules. The crystals are sliced, molded and polished as needed. The process is expensive. But Apple's recent partner, GT Advanced Technologies, may have just discovered a way to produce the materials and bring it commercially.
According to MIT Technology Review: "GT is also cutting the cost of sapphire manufacturing by following the strategy that it used over the last several years to reduce the cost of making crystalline silicon for solar cells."
"To make the sapphire, aluminum oxide is melted down in a specialized furnace and then allowed to slowly cool to form a large crystal. That crystal is then cut with a diamond-coated wire saw. GT designs its furnaces so that they can be cheaply upgraded to make ever larger crystals as the technology improves, allowing customers to increase production without buying new equipment."
Sapphire glass offers a range of desirable qualities making it an excellent screen technology. It is incredibly transparent measuring 150nm (ultraviolet) and 5500nm (far-infrared), highly scratch resistant next to diamond, stronger than the standard glass and more durable compared to the Gorilla Glass's ~7.
